Tumwater Middle School Homesteader Program

Members of the Olympia Weavers Guild gave instruction in hand spinning to students at the Tumwater Middle School in preparation for their Homesteader Program at the New Market Pioneer Fair.  Volunteer spinning instructors were Lana Schneider, Patti Logan, Nancy Breckenridge, Debra Sporseen, and Wendy Kough.

  1. Debbie Spoorseen and Lana Schneider should really be added to this list. AND the fact that the public is invited to the Pioneer Reinactment the Middle School students are presenting Saturday, May 31st at the American Heritage Park, located at 93rd Ave and Kimmie Street. Exit I-5 at #99. The event runs from 10am until 4pm. Won’t it be fun to see the kids go back in time? I hope there are no cell phones….Lana

  2. Correction, Debra Sporseen not Debbie Dickson. Also, Lana Schneider was the primary instructor.
