The Board of Directors nominate and select honorees based on the following criteria:

• An Active Member of the Guild for at least 20 years and current member in the year they are nominated.
• Taken active leadership roles in the Guild (Officer, Board Member, Chair major committees)
• Participates in showcase, attends some meeting and/or study group meetings
• Participates in outreach activities of the Guild, such as the fairs, the Show & Sale, demonstrations for the public or schools

Honorees no longer need to pay dues, will be honored with recognition in the Yearbook, and will be featured in an article published in the Newsletter. (Although recipients no long need to pay dues, often they continue paying as a donation to the Guild.)
